Cookies and trackers.
The stance in one line: this site uses no tracking cookies. This page explains why that's an editorial and technical choice, and what we use instead to understand the audience.
01 · Stance
The stance in one line
peopleattractiontheory.com uses no third-party tracking cookies, no social pixel, no advertising retargeting tool, no browser fingerprinting.
PAT sets no cookies under its own name. When you are redirected to external services (Stripe to pay, Teachable to access purchased VOD content), these services set their own cookies on their own domain, not on peopleattractiontheory.com.
No consent for non-essential cookies is requested because there's nothing to consent to. That's an architectural decision, not a technical detail.
02 · Why
Why no tracking cookies
Three inseparable reasons:
a) Editorial choice
The People Attraction Theory speaks to recruitment teams, VPs of People, executives, conference organizers. This audience is particularly sensitive to data protection and digital privacy. Forcing a cookie banner would be a direct contradiction of the business's values.
b) Technical choice
The site stack (pre-rendered static Astro, Cloudflare Pages, cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics, external redirects for third-party services) technically requires no cookies to function.
c) Compliance choice
No non-essential cookies means no explicit consent required, so no cookie banner to display, so an uninterrupted reading experience. The GDPR (combined with the ePrivacy directive 2002/58/EC) and the nLPD only require a consent banner for cookies that are non-essential to the service.
03 · Analytics
What we use instead
To understand site audience (pages visited, traffic source, average visit duration, device type), The People Attraction Theory uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, Cloudflare's cookieless analytics tool, which is already our site host.
Cloudflare Web Analytics sets no cookies. Instead:
- A lightweight JavaScript beacon sends a few anonymous measurements (page visited, referring page, country, device type, browser) at load time.
- No persistent identifier is assigned to the visitor: no cookie, no localStorage, no browser fingerprinting. Each visit is processed independently, with no tracking over time.
- Cloudflare doesn't use this data to profile users or for targeted advertising — Web Analytics is a separate product from the advertising business.
- No cross-reference with other sites or third-party services is technically possible.
The data collected is: page visited, referring page, country (inferred from IP, without storing the IP itself), device type (mobile, desktop, tablet), browser, visit duration. It is aggregated at site level and can never be traced back to an identifiable person.

04 · Form
The contact form
The contact form sets no cookies on your browser.
To block automated spam submissions, the form uses an invisible anti-spam protection provided by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Turnstile). Turnstile works without visible interaction and does not write a persistent cookie tied to your identity.
In rare cases (browsing behavior considered unusual by Cloudflare), Turnstile may place a temporary technical cookie (prefixed cf_chl_*) that automatically expires at the end of your session. This cookie is strictly necessary for the validation system to function and is not used for any tracking purpose.
Cloudflare publishes a Turnstile-specific privacy addendum that describes in detail the client-side signals collected to distinguish a human from a bot (IP address, TLS fingerprint, User-Agent header) and Cloudflare's role as both processor and controller. It is available here: cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy.
05 · External services
External services accessible from this site
Several links on the site redirect you to third-party services. These services set their own cookies, on their own domain, under their own responsibility. None of these cookies are set on peopleattractiontheory.com.
You are not tracked by these services as long as you don't click the corresponding links.
| Service | When you go there | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Calendar | If you click an appointment booking link | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Jarvi | If you click "Submit my CV" | jarvi.io/legal/privacy |
| Stripe | If you click "Buy M1" to access the VOD payment page. Stripe sets its cookies on stripe.com, not on PAT. | stripe.com/privacy |
| Teachable | After a valid VOD purchase, you are redirected to Teachable to access the content. Teachable sets its cookies on teachable.com, not on PAT. | teachable.com/privacy-policy |
| If you click a link to a LinkedIn profile or post | linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy |
06 · Controls
Your browser-side controls
Regardless of the fact that this site sets no tracking cookies, you keep full control of your digital privacy at all times:
- You can enable the Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal in your browser. No tool used by this site requires or ignores this signal.
- You can use a privacy-oriented browser (Firefox with strict ETP, Brave, Safari with ITP, etc.).
- You can block the Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon via an extension like uBlock Origin, without affecting the readability of the site.
- You can visit the site in private browsing to keep no technical trace browser-side, even temporary.
07 · Change
If this ever changes
If The People Attraction Theory deploys a feature requiring non-essential cookies in the future (for example LinkedIn Ads or Meta Ads retargeting, or A/B testing tools with cookies), a consent banner compliant with the GDPR and nLPD will be added, and this page will be updated accordingly.
As of today, no such deployment is planned for 2026.
